Our Catholic Social Teaching

Catholic Social teaching tells us how our Catholic faith guides our actions.

Catholic social teaching (CST) is rooted in Scripture, formed by the wisdom of the Pope and Church leaders, and influenced by grassroots movements. It is our moral compass, guiding us on how to live out our faith in the world. As a Catholic school, we are committed to nurturing the spiritual, moral and social development of all of our pupils. The nine principles of Catholic Social Teaching reflect our school values and serve as a guiding light in our mission to promote justice, peace and solidarity in our community and beyond.  

 As a school, we use CAFOD (Catholic Agency for Overseas Development) resources to support our pupils to fully understand the principles.
