Safeguarding Statement
St Edward’s Primary School is committed to the safeguarding and protection of all children, young people and adults within our school community. We will carefully select, train and support all those with any responsibility within the School, in line with Safer Recruitment principles of the KSCB (Kent Safeguarding Children Board).
For Staff, Governors, volunteers and contracted staff we all adhere to the principles of the DFE's Keeping Children Safe in Education document. At St Edward's all staff, governors and volunteers receive training at the start of the academic year (or during if staff join mid year) with regular weekly reminders in staff briefings.
For contracted staff, their training if via their company and we check that that has been completed before working at the school.
