St Edward's Catholic Primary School

Our Science Assembly Visitor

We had a fantastic visitor in Assembly: Nick Corston from Steam Co: a charity on a mission to inspire a million children to aim higher and reach for the stars!

We learnt how reading can allow you to have the imagination and courage to do anything you want, try any task you want and aim for any job you want! It was so inspiring!

Year 6 were then even more lucky - they got to work with Nick to build rockets out of recycled materials. They had great fun doing this and really had to work as a team!

Finally, the whole school came together to watch the rockets be launched. It was amazing to watch - and predict if the rocket would fly into the sky or come crashing straight back down to Earth!
