Year 2

Year 2 have been investigating everyday materials. They started by having to problem-solve, working out the best material to build a house and why. They continued their investigation into deciding what would make a good window if glass were unavailable. Year 2 have also been using their classifying skills to group and sort the materials they've been learning about.

Year 2 have been learning about plants. They've investigated what seeds are, learning about where they may come from. They then looked into seed dispersal: what it is and how it works. Year 2 have also learnt about what plants need to grow and are now trying to create the perfect conditions to grow plants themselves to help brighten up our school.
