St Edward's Catholic Primary School

Our Catholic Mission

Our Mission Statement is for all our children, staff and families to 'Achieve in God's Love'

St Edward's Catholic Primary School is at the heart of a community, rooted in its core Gospel values. Our children, by their actions, grow in the image of God.

Our core Gospel values are:

Respect

Achieve

Love

(as voted for by parents, children, governors and staff between October 2023 and February 2024)

Our school rules are based on these values.

Children link these to the Gospels as well as to modern day role models.

St. Edward's Denominational Inspection Report March 2020: We are so proud that our school has been graded GOOD, with an OUTSTANDING Catholic life in the school.

Our school prayer is said together at the start of every collective worship

The Gospel of St John Chapter 10 Verse 10: I am come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Crowning of Mary 2024

Our Early Years class held the whole school collective worship. The focus was to celebrate May as the month for Mary. The worship leaders from each class presented Mary with bouquets of flowers and crowns. Parents were invited to celebrate too.

Harvest Mass 2023

Dear Lord We all thank you for giving us the soil to help our seeds grow, the rain to hydrate our plants, the sun to feed and grow our plants as well. Lord, we thank you for letting us have food to eat but let us remember the people that do not have as much as us and help us to be kind in our thoughts, words and deeds. Amen

At SS Henry and Elizabeth baby birds are thriving in a nest above the Church door, welcoming us in.
