To celebrate the end of another successful term, we invited our grown-ups in to share our learning with them.
In RE we've learnt about the birth of the Church, Peter becoming the first Pope and how our actions share the word and light of Jesus. We also learnt a song about this.
We've been learning about the Apostles and how they had the courage to spread the Good News despite being scared initially. To help us understand how this felt, we picked our favourite piece of scripture to share, explaining the meaning and how we could live like that.
In Science, we have been learning to work scientifically. We have taken systematic and careful observations before using these findings to make predictions for future investigations; we've drawn conclusions and collected different results. We have also learnt to record results in a graph and read other people's graphs.
In Geography, we've started looking at Sheerness and Venice to compare them. We located both on a map and wondered about physical features, which we found using the Digimaps website. We were then really lucky to have visitors from Peel Ports come into school to discuss our local area with us! This was really exciting and will enable to compare the use of our port to the waterways in Venice.
In Maths, we've been learning our multiplication facts. We've been testing ourselves, playing games and using Numicon to help us calculate the answers.
In English, we've been writing a warning narrative. To help us, we learnt to speak a good model text.
