This year we will be using the online platform, EdShed to support the children with their learning both at school and at home. English and maths homework will be set each Friday using this website.
The children have been working hard since returning from the summer break and produced some amazing work.
In English we have been using the book 'Dear Earth' to produce our own descriptive letter to the Earth and our promise to look after our planet.
In maths we have been honing our skills of place value and using our skills and knowledge to understand the value of numbers up to 100 and partition the numbers in a variety of ways.
We have really enjoyed learning all about plants in science and have planted some bulbs and learned how to look after them. We were amazed at how seeds can be so different and what they need to start to grow.
In geography we have looked closely at our world and in particular the UK and the human and physical features of the countries that make up the UK.
Our RE has allowed us to look carefully at God's chosen people and why God chose them. We have really enjoyed reading and learning the stories and acting them out.
Our painting topic in art has allowed us to further develop our painting skills whilst looking closely at the artist, Monet.
