Year 5

Year 5 have been using their knowledge from the Forces unit to help them work scientifically. They learnt about setting up fair tests, measuring and recording results and presenting their findings in the context of cars moving over different surfaces.

Year 5 have been learning about Earth and Space. As part of this topic, they have been learning about the rotation of the Earth around the sun and the moon around the Earth.

They also had an exciting workshop about Lego. This helped them to understand the engineering side of buildings.

Year 5 are learning about forces. To begin their topic, they learnt about the difference between weight and mass and how to use Newton Meters to answer the key question: does everything have a weight?
