We performed our first Nativity - we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
We explored mechanisms this term and created our own Dinosaur scenes with moving Dinosaurs.
In Maths this term we have been measuring objects, recognising numbers and linking amounts with the value.
We had a Dinosaur workshop from Maidstone Museum. We acted out a story to find out how Dinosaurs became fossilised. We created fossil rubbings, drew a T-Rex skull and looked at different ammonites. We learnt that there are three things that Dinosaurs leave behind as fossils - bones, teeth and claws.
We have been exploring mechanisms. We created backgrounds and pop up/slider dinosaurs.
As part of our topic work we have been learning about timelines and things that have happened in the past. We created our own personal timelines!
We are now learning about God's Family in RE. We know that the Angel Gabriel went to Mary to tell her she was going to have a baby. We created our own angels and flowers.
We watched a video and discussed about the importance of Remembrance day. We then used different materials to create poppies which we are looking forward to sharing with everyone in assembly this week. We used wool, tissue paper and felt to create our poppies.
From our story, Dinosaurs Love Underpants, in English we have been designing underpants and writing to describe them. In Maths, we have been measuring dinosaurs using cubes, tape measures and rulers.
We went for a walk around our school to remind us of our environment and when we returned to class, we created our own maps, using what we had learnt from Term 1.
We have kick started this term with the book, Dinosaurs Love Underpants. In English, we have been labelling a picture of a dinosaur and in Maths, we have been matching amounts to the correct numeral.
