Term 5

Over the term, we will be learning in Literacy using our main story ‘Dear Zoo’. We will share some other stories in relation to zoo animals. Our focus this term is for the children to begin writing in full sentences, using their phonics skills, finger spaces and full stops. We cannot wait for our trip to the zoo at the end of term!

In Mathematics, we will continue to build on our subitising skills to be able to instantly recognise how many objects are in front of us. We will also be looking at 3-D shapes, building our numbers to 20 and beyond, adding and taking numbers away.

This term we will be learning all about our local area. We will be taking an exciting trip to our beach.

Our Expressive Arts and Design focus is Art. We will be improving our self-portraits and comparing them to our very first ones we did back in term 1.
