St Edward's Catholic Primary School

Year 6 Residential

Day 4

Today, Mrs. Wakefield joined us on a zip line!

Day 3

Today we really enjoyed pedal karting, crate stacking (which kept falling over - very frustrating!) and a Jacob's ladder in the morning. We have worked really hard as a team, building those skills that will help us to communicate well with others.

In the afternoon, we took part in a "Postman's Walk", Leap of Faith (very scary!) and a water roller. It was very difficult to stay dry in the water roller but, somehow!, we managed it.

To finish off another exciting day, we sang songs around a camp fire. Phew, time for bed!

Day 2

Today we had a fun-filled day where we had no moment to think! We started by completing kayaking and Cresta Run (tobogganing) - some very competitive children were seen! The best part about our kayaking was all the children managing to stay in our kayaks - but Mr. Tickner falling in!

We had great fun in the afternoon building a raft and taking it on the water - though we did prefer being in the water than being on the raft!

In the evening, we played a game of "Hunt the Instructor" - giant hide and seek. This was very enjoyable but we are sure that "Hunt the Children" would have been easier - as we would have been noisier and therefore easier to find!

Day 1

Since arriving at Thriftwood, Year 6 have had a brilliant time taking part in 3 different activities: axe throwing; wall climbing; and a vertical assault course. We have had so much fun and can't wait for tomorrow!
