We are learning about plants. We have identified some common plants and can name some parts of a plant. We will be learning about what plants need to grow and will be planting sunflower and runner bean seeds this term.
Peel Ports visited the school to teach us about the port of Sheerness and the cargo the boats deliver. We learned that paper, cars and bananas are some of the products brought through our local area.
We have been learning about multiplication by counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. We had fun using different manipulatives to help us count. We can find totals by grouping.
We have learned about ways in which we celebrate the Resurrection and used our art skills to draw sketches of the first Easter Sunday.
On Thursday the 2nd and Friday the 3rd of May we welcomed Take Pride into school as we learned to ride balance and pedal bikes. The rain could not stop us as we glided, balanced and pedaled bikes.
On Friday 10th May we crowned Mary during a worship led by EYFS.
We had learned about flowers for Mary: roses, periwinkles and irises. We made some of these and took part in the worship.
This week we have been mindful of taking care of our mental health. We have thought about things we can do to help. We have enjoyed mindful colouring, completing the 'Daily Mile' around the school field, and singing along to our favourite songs whilst making up some dance moves.
