Term 2- How did Britain change between the beginning of the Stone Age and the end of the Iron Age?
This term, we will begin to learn about periodisation and begin to link one era to the next. We will research about how lives changed across the Palaeolithic to the Neolithic eras and compare the similarities and differences between the Stone Age, Bronze Age and the Iron Age. We will consider how inventions and adaptations made during this period in history, impacted our lives today.
This term, Year 3 are learning about Native American tribes: looking at how indigenous people's lives were affected by migrants and colonists who travelled to North America. We will look at how the interactions of these groups have shaped the lives of American's today as well as learn about travellers, from England, who influenced these developments and new relationships.
Term 6- How has Canterbury changed through history?
In term 6, we will create a timeline of when Canterbury was built by the Romans and ask questions to realise how it has changed throughout history. We will consider the cause and effects brought about by the Roman Invasion and move through history to the building of Canterbury Cathedral. Historical enquiry will help us to compare events as well as enable us to interpret ideas linked to opinions.
